The factor is calculated this way:

Technically, it uses the deprecated factor CapSp5YCGr%, but that doesn’t affect the results in this case. CapExGr%5Y, like other %5Y factors, clamps values exceeding a magnitude of 9999. All 3YCGr% and 5YCGr% factors were deprecated when more generated factors were introduced in 2020. Only CapSp5YCGr%Ind, Div3YCGr%Ind, and Div5YCGr%Ind remain of the old factors. The underlying factors used here do not use clamping, but industry factor calculation excludes 16.5% of outliers (33% total), limiting the effect.
