I feel there are a lot more people looking at the data numerically (both professionals and amateurs) as good data becomes more easily accessible.
looking for assets not reflected correctly on the Balance sheet or earnings obscured by under performing parts of the business seems better. IOW being a business analyst. OF course, it requires a lot more reading and understanding of the business. Those opportunities do not screen well.
