Will Trade execute rebalance orders from Ready-to-Go portfolios?

Will TRADE be able to allocate orders to a Group of accounts in Interactive Brokers? As you may know, IB allows accounts to be grouped in order to simplify order execution.

mm123, I don’t think so. We must send an account # with every order. Can you give an example on why this is useful? Thanks

It is useful for on an IB advisory account where you are running one system that you would like to allocate across multiple client accounts.

I’m not a programming expert on this, but in an advisory account, I don’t believe you have to send an account number as long as you are sending a valid Account Group or Allocation Profile instead. TWS and WebTrader use them.

Marco:

Group orders are very useful in terms of minimizing commissions for smaller accounts, to say nothing of the time-savings in terms of not having to send duplicate orders.

Hope this might be do-able … IB already has this built into their infrastructure.

Actually, there would actually be two parameters for the REL order: the limit price (0 if there is no limit), and the offset amount in cents.

We did some stress testing, 10,000+ orders at a time, and all seems going well. Should be able to release it very soon.
