My name is Andreas Bernhardt. I started investing in stocks when I was 14. I bought some Adidas shares because I liked their shoes and turned a handsome profit. Inspired by those gains I went out to take another investment and nearly lost all of my money. That’s when my quest started to learn how to turn long term profits in the stock market.

That journey later led me to obtain a BA in Economics from Harvard College in the US and Witten / Herdecke University in Germany and a MBA from INSEAD in France & Singapore. This is where I learned about the scientific approach to investing and where I first heard about the value, size and momentum anomalies in the markets. Needless to say it changed my investment style forever.

With investing being my long time passion, I earned my living as a management consultant with Bain and Oliver Wyman and as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch before I started working as an independent adviser and investor.
