I am a software engineer in the Telephony space. When I was younger, I left my normal high school to attend the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy which is a residential high school for academic high-achieving students in Illinois. From there I went to Carnegie Mellon University to study Cognitive Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence. I left CMU early to follow my then-girlfriend (now wife and mother of my children) to Michigan. I eventually went back to school at Baker College, and finally received my BS in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University after moving to Ohio. I then entered graduate school at DeVry working on a Masters of Business Administration, which I was unable to complete due to lack of money and tighter lending restrictions.

For the past 8 years, I have worked in the VoIP Telecommunications field as either a Senior Network Engineer or Product Development Engineer. I worked as a Senior Network Engineer at an Internet Service Provider before entering the world of VoIP.

Investment Style
I am a value investor at heart, but I also believe it is possible to time investments. In fact, the whole premise of value investing is all about timing your investments. You don’t buy a company when it is overvalued because you are not likely to make any money on the investment. You only buy a company when it is undervalued. Companies go through cycles of overvalued and undervalued based on various mechanics. I try to understand and time investments based on those mechanics.
