For performing macro, risk-on/off, etc research, the Macro Charts and Multi-Chart tools are limited as they don't support custom formulas and have a somewhat clunky interface.
On the other hand, the Fundamental Chart tab is already INCREDIBLY powerful. As I understand it, the tool was not designed for this purpose, and at the moment it's buried in the tab of a security, so it's not easily discoverable. But it's SO very close to being the perfect "Mother of All Charts" that it's almost a missed opportunity. See e.g. what it can do to reveal macro/sentiment patterns below:
So my feature suggestion is to take that tool and turn it into the foundation of a new chart-based research tool, which could replace/consolidate existing charting tools like Multi-Chart and Macro Charts. This replacement would be possible for example if daily (as opposed to weekly) data points as well as pre-1999 periods are supported, to match the capabilities of those existing chart tools.
