I tried to use an AI Factor in a Universe, but I get this warning when I try to run a Simulation - "Predictions were not loaded for 08/12/2023. Please contact support." And in the screener I get "Aborted! ERROR: Predictions were not loaded for 08/12/2023. Please contact support."
Should it be possible to use AI Factors in a Universe?
The short answer unfortunately is no, it's not something we're currently looking to support. It probably deserves a meaningful error message.
Long answer:
There were a few considerations we had needed to make if we wanted to support AI Factors in custom universe rules.
First of all, AI Factors require the same universe by default. In the context of a custom universe, the starting universe must be a predefined universe, so consuming an AI Factor based on a custom universe wouldn't be possible.
Even if you allowed different universes in an AI Factor, having Preprocessor set to By Date could yield significantly different results due to varying universes. If the AI Factor used a predefined universes, you'd still see differences in predictions within the custom universe rules versus in ranking systems or rules down the line.
So rather than going through the trouble of dealing with all of these situations, we had opted to not invest any time in it.
Ok, I understand.
I tried one of my Rank systems in the screener with a rule to filter out stocks who had a lower score than 0 from an AI factor, the result was amazing, that’s why I’m asking.
I hope you will consider to make “AI universes”
