Asian data sponsored project pledge update

Dear Asian Data Sponsors,

We have processed the 59 pledges. Thank you for your making this project possible.

Most pledges went through. We will send you a confirmation shortly via email. For the pledges that did not go through (due to a variety of reasons) we will contact you shortly to see if you still want to proceed.

You can quickly check if the pledge went though by going to your Account Settings → Billing and you should see an entry for "Project Funding" with the amount that you pledged.

Thank You again. We are excited to finally get going with global data.

Cheers

Hi Marco,

I had a pledge that didn’t process because of a preset spending limit on the card. I raised it so the pledge could go through. Did you all ever loop back around to try cards that didn’t work the first time? Excited to see how strategies work on the new data.

Many Thanks

In that context it probably makes sense to implement country and asset class specific transaction taxes into backtests /simulations (also for Europe). Given they are so different on a per country basis it is virtually impossible to account for STT in slippage.

Similarly to Ebenezer, my pledge payment didn’t process as I had recently had to change card numbers due to unauthorized activity on my credit card. I updated the card number when I got the failed transaction notice from p123. I sent a few emails on the matter, but never heard anything back. Could you loop back around and try cards that didn’t process the first time? Similarly excited to see where this goes.

Cheers,

Daniel

Same for me. I would need to coordinate the payment with my credit card company in advance and still would be interested in getting this processed.
