Creating Universe Where Certain Sub-Industries are Excluded

Hello All,

I am new to Portfolio123, and it looks like a very nice platform :slight_smile:

My question (for now) is:

How can a Universe of Stocks be created whereby
certain sub-industries are excluded?
For example, I want to exclude:

GICS Sub-Industry
20101010 Aerospace & Defence
25301010 Casinos & Gaming
…
etc…

Welcome to P123.
You create the universe by selecting Tools at the top of the screen and then picking Universes. Create a new universe and add this rule → GICS(20101010,25301010) = FALSE

also can use

Industry != FORESTRY
Sector != UTIL

etc.

I think this is better than using GICS codes because it is easier to read (self documenting)
