Enhanced Stock Notes & Ratings: A Richer Editor & Better Integration

We’ve enhanced Stock Notes & Ratings to make them more useful throughout Portfolio123, from individual stock research to screening and model rebalancing.

You can now maintain richer research notes, assign ratings such as Buy, Hold, Sell, Watch, Revisit, or Buylist, and carry those views into more of your investing workflow.

Keep richer research notes with each stock

The updated editor makes notes more useful as an ongoing research record. You can use rich-text formatting, add links, and include images or charts directly in your notes.

This makes it easier to keep your investment thesis, supporting research, charts, and observations together with the security.

Use your ratings in screens

Ratings can also be incorporated directly into screens.

For example:

Opinion = #Buy

This allows you to combine your own investment judgment with Portfolio123 factors, rankings, and screening rules.

Bring notes and ratings into rebalancing

Notes and Opinion icons have now been added to both the Transactions and X-Ray tabs on the strategy Rebalance page.

This makes it easier to reference your previous research and current view of a stock while reviewing model recommendations and making rebalance decisions.

Easier access to your notes

A Notes icon has also been added to various Manage sections, such as watchlists, accounts, and strategies, giving you another central place to access and manage your stock notes.

From research to decision

Research → Rate → Screen → Rebalance

The enhanced Notes & Ratings workflow helps keep your qualitative research and quantitative process connected throughout Portfolio123.

Is it possible to add my rating (Buy, Sell, Hold etc.) to a screen result as a column?
So when I run a screen, if I have a rating, then it would show up.

You can put the screen results to screen factors and it will display the column Opinion.
