The only place I know of to use #ExDate is in DivPSDays;
https://www.portfolio123.com/doc/doc_detail.jsp?factor=DivPSDays
As far as I know, it doesn't give you the date. It is used as a identifier when you use a dividend function such as are you asking for the announce, pay or ex-div date.
So if you use DivPS you can specify you want the divps as of one of those dates. So it will know when that information is available to you. But this isn't a function for you to look up and determine an absolute date for each line item.
At least that is my understanding
Thanks, I understand. The Factor & Function Reference does not have a very clear description of the use #ExDate.
