I signed yesterday for the APAC data trial, and they enabled it on our production DB which got flooded with new data, and crashed. There are many new tables, new prices, we are not sure! It could take a while to resolve.
We assumed we had a choice to enable any new data packages so we could test loading them in a development DB.
Not good from them.

Define “a while” - rough estimate? Also, do you not have version control or database backups?
Apparently not! This is a Factset database managed by their own loader. Guess it's a pretty dumb loader: it loads whatever they enable. They have now disabled the new dataset. It's been a comedy of errors.
Bottom line is that they should know better. If something affects a client's prod environment they should have told us.
