Introduction to Statistical Learning

I recently came across this book by Stanford University and it may be the best one I have seen yet on the topic. Well written and easy to digest. Its a practical introduction that avoids all the deep (and unnecessary ) nuances involved in most texts. It seems particularly relevant for what we do here. They offer the PDF for free.
