When setting up the linking in P123, I was asked to specify the base currency of the IB account concerned. So I selected GBP and sent email to IB as instructed. After the link is brought into effect, however, P123 alerted me that there was discrepancy between my IB account balance and the strategy initial balance specified. My account cash balance in IB was US$100,000 and P123 reminded me to do adjustment for 254xx (the exact amount short for my account to have total balance of GBP100,000) . Guessed it was related to “Base Currency”.
So I changed the base currency of my IB account to USD and also sent email to IB to discontinue the linking and subsequently got email confirmation. However, when I tried to cancel the linking in the P123 side, it still asked me to send email to IB.
