New data provider! Global stock data!

We should have something soon, perhaps next week, that lets you use run screens and simulations using either Compustat or Factset fundamentals. We’re testing it now and it’s mostly ok.

Everything else would still be powered by Compustat such as estimates, GICS, etc. Those are next.

Thank you, Marco. Look forward to seeing what you have done.

Hugh

thanks Marco

Will switching to FactSet allow for backtests with fundamental data updated on a daily basis as opposed to the weekly snapshots we use now?

Wasn’t the FactSet trial period supposed to start today?

very cool, thank you Marco!!!

Also very much looking forward to start working with this new data set.

Thanks for your efforts P123 team! :sunglasses:

Hi Marco and Yuval,

Any update regarding when and how we can get started? This 90 day window is extremely valuable. I can’t help but fear we are losing time.

Thank you.

Hugh

Agree with Hugh… time is of the essence!!!

Yes, time is of the essence.

My models take advantage of unique anomalies in the Compustat data. I will need time to build new models for the new database. In the past, it has taken me up to two years to properly study the new database. I don’t even know how to accomplish the same in 90 days. But every day is precious.

When will global data be available?

See message from topic start:

“In the third quarter, we will make data for stocks on the European, Asian, and Australian exchanges available to any subscriber who wants to access that data (we have not set pricing yet, but it will be reasonable).”

Yes but they said they would overlap the FactSet and S&P data during Q2 so everyone could re-calibrate their stuff.

True, also eagerly waiting for this to happen.

Hi Marco and Yuval,

Was wondering if you could share with us some of the discoveries you’ve made regarding FactSet data and the challenges we face in transition?

Thank you.

Hugh

We definitely will, very soon.

Can someone please confirm the timeline for global data, and also exactly which countries will be included?

Will the global data or new FactSet set of data include Canadian ETFs?

Thank you for the global stock data.
Do you planned to give some API to request things like prices, ratios, etc ?

Can we get an update on global data now that Factset has gone live for North American data? Thank you.
