While using the search box, we used to be able to click the pop-out icon and open the result in a new tab/window. It looks like that’s been removed from the latest update. Can that get added back?
Yeah I hate too when I can't right click. We'll take a look
Interesting ticker choice
I got in a bit early (Factset - #8 by marco) but I'm up now.
We cannot do right click since they are not real links.
You can always open a new tab by : [Ctrl] + [Enter] or [Ctrl] + Mouse Click
Using the Ctrl key is the new standard to open a new tab. Or always has been, not sure. I didn't know that either ![]()
Ctrl+click didn’t work yesterday, but it seems to be working today so maybe I just had bad luck with timing of the latest update. Thanks for your help!
In the older version, there was a little icon to the right of each stock in the results dropdown that you could left-click, but I’m fine just going with Ctrl-click here.
I don’t like this new search box. It feels slower to use, and 99.9% of the time I only search for stocks.
But, as with the new charts, maybe it’s just a matter of getting used to it.
I completely agree with pitmaster, we have one more click to access what we want (stocks in my case 99.9% of the time)
why one more click?
little icon that you can left click to open a new tab should be doable
btw, right click seems to work now. not sure what's going on.
Right, it’s only one click, but it feels less user-friendly because users usually want to start typing in the box immediately without waiting (even milliseconds) for a new window to pop up.
Anyway, it’s a very minor issue.
