Hi. Today did the manual rebalance of my short strategy on largecaps. Somehow the top recommendation was BHAT:USA, a China microcap which has 94B marketcap on P123 but only 47M real.
I know those errors can appear at any time. But beside common sense, is there a way to avoid/ screen out such obvious errors?

Thanks. I also modified my universe to exclude low-liquidity LargeCaps, which should deal with most future faulty Mcap datapoints.
I was thinking maybe a rule using a ratio of market cap to assets and/or sales that avoids an extremely high ratio
I thought something similar but it’s a shorting system and absurd P/S other ratios can exist like for $OKLO
Yeah might require making it an IF/conditional. Good point. I guess it depends how extreme you go
