This Strategy Report is excellent. Thanks very much.
A few requests please:
Current Recommendations
Those Recommendations should go on page 2, in the event we want to package them as part of some premium content
As it relates to Current Recommendations as part of Books, can you code this so that our Books “look through” to the Recommendations of the underlying strategies? As it stands now, book recommendations aren’t current unless we rebalance the underlying strategies, which for those of us with 52-week rebalance schedules is not feasible. I think the same is true of most rebalance schedules other than weekly. A “look through” is essential for Book Recommendations.
Growth of $10,000 - format the results to show the dollar figure, in the same vein as we see the dollar value for the growth of $100,000 on the Summary page. As is, I don’t think the 2-digit number and 1 decimal is intelligible to someone who isn’t intimately familiar with P123 data.
I think the growth should be that of $1. Will it also be possible to show the current securties (not strategies) in a book simulation and %sector allocation, etc.
My only suggestion on this report would be the ability to add an alternate model/strategy name for marketing purposes. Several of my models have very technical names, but would be good to change this to something more marketable. i.e. say model name is “Microcaps_model235_v2.2_20201101.vb”. Would rather use “Microcap Madness” or some other over the top (aka marketable ;-)) name.
Could re-name a strategy, but would rather not have duplicates of the same strat. Also gives flexibility in choosing different names, how it appears on the report, etc.
Few have been released in the Research section only (so you can copy them and modify them). They will be in the Managed section , the P123 models area, soon together with 5 or six more models (but a Research membership will be required)
The current holdings w/ weights looks better but could still be improved for books with both long and short positions. Once all long positions are shown, it will start showing short positions in the Top 25, but it’ll start with the smallest short positions since their weights are technically greater (e.g. -1.0% > -2.0%). You could sort by absolute weight, but it’s probably clearer to list top short positions separately from top long positions.
Very nice. Yield is a very useful addition. Is it possible to add Yield to the Summary Page of our Strategies & Books? If space is a constraint, I’d vote for dropping “mode” or “sizing method” from the General Info table and adding Yield to the Quick Stats table. Thanks.
Marco you had indicated that a second page would be added to the Strategy Reports with some additional content. I know you have a lot on your plate but wonder if you have an estimate of when that might happen? Really enjoy this feature, and anything more you can add in terms of trading statistics, etc, would be very welcome. Thanks.
More stats, not the buy rules. For example I think the trading statistics are fantastic and offer tremendous transparency. Maybe that could even fit on the existing page. Thx.
